Indoor air pollution can be caused by a variety of factors, including biological pollutants such as mold and pollen, chemical pollutants such as carbon monoxide, radon, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and particulate matter such as dust and smoke.
Other sources of indoor air pollution include carbon dioxide, tobacco smoke, household products such as cleaning agents and pesticides, building materials such as formaldehyde, and appliances such as gas stoves and heaters.

To improve indoor air quality, it is recommended to maintain good ventilation, use HEPA and carbon activated air purifiers, and avoid smoking indoors.
